Golden Retreat

It has been our joy to raise & breed Golden Retrievers for 25 years now at our home and business, Famn Damily Farm. Our adult Goldens also have their joys. Tennis balls, their pond, zoomies around our 2 & ½ acre yard, snuggling & horsin’ with each other & us. But our big Golden woofer dog’s favorite thing is Gotcha Day. That is when everyone who has reserved a puppy comes out to pick out & take home their sweet 8-week-old Golden Retriever puppy. Most of our big dogs are out & so excited to greet everyone. But, these people are here to pick out a puppy, so our big dogs do not get as much attention from company as they would like. And of course, we only have Gotcha Day if we have puppies ready to go to their forever home, which only happens a few times a year. In fact, in 2025 we went almost 5 months in between litters. So, we decided to develop our remaining property, so our big dogs could play with company. Just the big dogs. This will be a joy for them & also for you. Many people, for various reasons, cannot get a Golden of their own, but, just love to be with them. To hug them, to play ball with them, to run with them, to watch them play. And that is what Golden Retreat is all about. Sweet, loving Goldens playin’ with you. Our woofer dogs will melt your heart & make you smile & you playin’ with them will give them even more joy than they already have. So, we created Golden Retreat. For you, for us, & for our woofer dogs. Come play with us!

Rules & Notes for your Golden Retreat Playdate

• No glass containers.
• No food or dog treats.
• Anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
• This is our home, so no admittance without booking a playdate.
• This is not a private playdate, we book up to 10 people per playdate, so if you didn’t book 10 people, there is a chance there will be other people, in addition to your party.
• We only book out 3 months in advance.
• No outside dogs.
• Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early.
• Bookings are non-refundable.
• Please make sure you are at the appropriate driveway at 6249 State Route 79 with the signage for Golden Retreat. Please follow the signs to park in the drive that offers easy & close parking to our play yard.
• USE CAUTION when pulling into and out of our driveway. Signal early and be sure to look both ways with caution before pulling out. It is a very busy road with limited visibility.
• Wheelchairs are MORE than welcome, but it is a grass area. We do keep it mowed and it is relatively flat and even though.
• We are located halfway between Cayuga Lake & Seneca Lake. The finger lakes region. Consider checking out all the other wonderful things to do in our area, in addition to your playdate with us!
• Keep in mind this is an outdoor, large play area. There may be some mud at times and Goldens LOVE mud! White attire or anything you don’t want to get muddy, is not advised.
• Do not wear open-toed shoes.
• You must book for the same number of people that you bring to your playdate.
• Please note that we do not book playdates during the winter months!
